This Privacy Policy explains what data Butterchop collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our marketing site, the restaurant management platform, and guest-facing booking and discovery services.

Data we collect

• Account data — operator and staff identities, contact details, and credentials needed to run the Service.
• Business data — menu, orders, inventory, labor, loyalty, and reporting data that operators enter or that is generated by use of the Service.
• Guest data — reservation and booking details (name, contact information, party size, visit history) when guests book through a Butterchop surface.
• Usage data — log and analytics data such as IP address, device type, and pages visited, used to keep the Service secure and reliable.

How we use data

• Operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Fulfill bookings and facilitate orders on behalf of the restaurant.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Card data

Payment card numbers, CVV codes, and track data are never stored by Butterchop. Payments are handled by certified payment partners under their own processing agreements.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers who process data on our behalf, with the restaurant that owns the data, or where required by law. Data is isolated per organization; organizations only access their own data.

Data retention and security

Data is retained while an account is active and deleted or anonymized per our retention schedule after termination. Data is protected with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and audit logging.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data. If you are a guest, contact the restaurant you dealt with: restaurants control their guest data and record and verify requests in Butterchop. For other requests, use theButterchop Support contact pageor email [email protected]. A dedicated privacy contact has not been published yet. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
